Luscious aromas of tropical fruits, pineapple, and orchard fresh nectarines on the nose, this wine explodes on the palate. Rich flavors of yellow pear, apple, and tropical fruits leaning towards mango and guava. The 2014 Chardonnay has a long finish of pear and a touch of mineral that lingers on the palate, with just a slight touch of oak to add balance and elegance.
With 2014 being one of the warmest vintages we have seen in a while, the Chardonnay grapes came in with ripe fruit characteristics alongside a nice backbone of acidity that you would expect from Washington State Chardonnay. All of the components were fermented in stainless steel upright fermenters using 796 yeast. About 5% of the overall blend completed ML in neutral American Oak barrels.
